About Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

The AFE-FFE Scholarship program seeks to enhance the lives of academically gifted and financially needy students, preferably girls, from all over India by providing access to and support for Engineering, computer science, and related professional education. Aside from financial and other assistance, Amazon will also provide mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and networking opportunities to AFE India Scholars, as well as the opportunity to apply for an Amazon Internship.

Academic Eligibility Criteria

  • Only female students pursuing BE/Btech courses in the following fields are eligible for scholarships:-
  1. Computer Science And Engineering
  2. Information And Communication Technology
  3. Information Science
  4. Information Science And Engineering
  5. Information Technology
  • Only first-year B.E., B.Tech applicants after 2019 are expected to have completed their Higher Secondary / Pre-University / Intermediate / CBSE/ISC Or Equivalent Board Qualifying Examination
  • Admission To Professional Degree Courses/Institutions Is Based On The Merit Rank Awarded At State Or National Level Entrance Exams, Or Through A State Level Counselling Process.

Financial Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant’s family annual income should not exceed Rs 3.0L.
  • When determine an applicant’s financial eligibility, the education and occupation of parents as well as family members including an elder brother(s) and sister(s), the family’s living conditions, and the total expenses incurred by the family on the applicant’s education will be considered in addition to gross family income.
  • Applicants who are the first in their family to graduate will be given preference over those who are the second or third in their family to graduate.

Selection Process

  • Students submit AFE – FFE Scholarship applications online.
  • Once their eligibility is decided, students are connected to one of FFE’s distributed network of volunteer “Facilitators” in 27 states.. Facilitators virtually meet with prospective students or their family members to assess their genuine needs and financial hardship.
  • Students submit the application form online along with all supporting documents and requirements for the AFE-FFE Scholarship program after verifying their family background and academic credentials.
  • Shortlisted AFE-FFE scholars must submit an essay as specified in the application form.
  • Because students have already incurred expenses when applying for a scholarship, FFE’s scholarship program is based on a reimbursement model (1st semester of College).
  • FFE does not discriminate based on race, creed, or religion.

Benefits of the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

  • The student receive a scholarship of INR  40,000/year until graduation if selected .Only 500 AFE cholars will be selected initially, which may increasing in the future. Each year, awards are renewable until a bachelor’s degree is obtained.
  • Renewal is contingent upon the applicant continuing full-time enrollment in an eligible course of study at an accredited four-year college or university, maintaining a good standing with their university, and continuation of the program by Amazon.
  • Amazon also provide mentorship, skill-building opportunities, networking opportunities, and an opportunity to appear for Amazon Internship to the AFE Scholars.
